The research at HIS Laboratory is on human-centered product design that emphasizes human factors and user experience.

The major research topics include ANALYSIS OF USER EXPERIENCE; USER INTERFACE DESIGN METHODOLOGY; ERGONOMICS IN PRODUCT DESIGN; and NEW PRODUCT/SERVICE DEVELOPMENT.

Topics such as Usability, Affective (Kansei) Engineering, Affective User Interface, Intelligent HMI(Human-Machine Interface) are currently being conducted as funded projects at HIS Laboratory.
